Romex’s car parking systems have a proven record of reliability that is second to none. The systems range from simple barrier controlled access, through to fully automatic management systems that offer significant advantages in the areas of labour, security (physical and data), traffic movement, and revenue and statistical data collection.

To complement the car parking systems, supplementary products have been developed, as well. The Romex Card, for instance, uses radio frequency identification technology to provide secure and contactless parking applications. Meanwhile, in 1994, Romex was the first company in Australia, and indeed, in Asia, to offer smartcard access controls based on KABA’s patent of Legic 13.56Mhz (now known as Mifare).

Romex has also expanded its software design function to provide customers with an integrated approach to their access and IT systems. What’s more, Romex has broadened its customer support. This has allowed Romex to engage local manufacturing companies and has assisted in its exporting of products, particularly into the Asian market. The growth that has resulted has increased the product range of Australian-made equipment, which has now come to include:

Indeed, over AUD$12 million dollars worth of ‘leakages’ have been identified by the Romex team over the past decade, in Australia, alone.
